About s3^

Founded in 2001, dR began in the Quake 3 powered FPS game Star Trek: Voyager: Elite Force. Born of a splinter-section of the community that played in a modified low gravity environment, dR was instrumental in the founding of the Low Grav League that offered a home to others who preferred to play in the same modified environment. Like many others who played Elite Force, dR's members had high hopes for the sequel Star Trek: Elite Force II produced in 2003. However, the games multiplayer failed to live up to the expectations of much of the original games players. Not long after, dR moved on to RTCW Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Though the game had been planned as an expansion pack to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the multiplayer segment was released free due to issues with the single player. Based in the World War II era, the game originated both the Enemy Territory name as a franchise unto itself, and the objective-based style of play that has become so popular. By 2007, dR had moved on once again, this time to ET s sequel, ETQW Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Though it's membership has continued to change, the independant and sometimes rebellious spirit of dR lives on. Though many of it's original members are no longer active, dR will always be their home. And now starts a new chapter in our clan, one in which we move to a new start with a new name s3^ is our new tag which stands for Soldiers 3lite.

About the Pink Taco Bar

The Pink Taco Bar is originally the name of a restaurant and bar in Las Vegas, Nevada, founded in 1998 by Peter Morton, one of the co-founders of the Hard Rock Cafe franchise. When dR entered Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, independent of it's former association with the Low Grav League, a server name was needed, and the Pink Taco Bar seemed an ideal choice to get the attention of other players. Since then, the Pink Taco Bar has become a sort of brand name, even inspiring others to similarly name their servers. Though sometimes critisized for having attentive admins and enforcing rules to ensure fair games, the Pink Taco Bar has developed an almost cult-like following with people.
